Me and Jaja: Kulto Members

source: http://inane-art.deviantart.com

Don't get me wrong...  but I guess if you consider X-Files as a TV cult then count me and my sister Jaja, The Pharmacist, as member of the cult.

I remember the late Friday nights we would spend just watching the latest episode of X-files in the old TV channel RPN 9. I think the series was run in the 8:00 - 9:00 pm time slot before the late night English news. It was so nice specially when you are following it. Our heads are glued to the TV specially when agent Mulder braves the situation chasing after this alien or unknown thing and agent Scully would still think that such is impossible until she is convince that it is real and then again fall into the thinking that they are being misled by someone.

The plot of the series before was that each episode is its own individual story just like the man who kills to get a person's liver every 5 years and will go into hibernation once he gets enough. Or the vampire cult which they have proven a hoax but misled lots of its followers and causing panic in the area because they really drink blood, even bite people to drink blood.

Watching X-files started my fascination with the occult. I developed this liking to this kind of genre thus I watch sci-fi, horror, mystery, and ancient folklore movies. After that other series about the occult, sci-fi, mystery came out.

Yup that's the thing.... aliens walk among us!

Remembering 500 Pesos

There was a time in my life where I shared a 500, back then it was a huge amount, with my sister the aspiring photographer and my cousin Michael, who now sails the seven seas.

Well we were in elementary in our peaceful barangay. Back then school bus were not so famous; we walk about 1.5 km to go to school. While walking going to school, i think that was after lunch, we came to the famous point called "salipungpungan" that is the four way intersection that divides our barangay, Dulag, from the other barangay called "Amancoro". I don't remember if it was my aspiring photographer sister or my cousin who sails the seven seas who saw a weird lump in the dusty roads of Dulag, again yes our roads were not asphalted or cemented like today. Upon picking it up we were all awed, it was was a 500 peso bill with the famous Benigno Aquino who's hand is in his chin.

Yup you guess right, Finders Keepers. But we are three so upon reaching the school we didn't tell anyone, off course what do you think three young and innocent kids would do if they pick up a 500 peso bill in the middle of a dusty road? We decided to buy some snacks, the famous was the ice scramble, so that we could change it. And of course a vendor would be curious how could three bunch of kids have a 500 peso bill at those times. It was like that 500 peso is equivalent to 10,000 today i guess.

So we have no choice but to tell our story that we got it in the middle of the road. After some thought the vendor from Amancoro, my gosh I forgot his name, gave us our fill gave us enough change that we may be able to divide among us the loot or should I say the wealth we found under the dust in the road.

Whomever owned that might have had a very miserable day. He might have been looking and looking where could that 500 peso be. As for us again what would you expect from 3 young and innocent kids right.

Now after so many years and after learning the value of money I would make sure that I don't misplace it. After all it is a hard earned money. As the years pass by even though the value of a 500 peso today is not as much as it was before still that  would make sure I take good care of my finances or else 3 innocent kids might chance to pick it up in the dusty road and would cry "Finders Keepers!!"

The Story of Kabog :)

If you live in our small barangay you might wonder why we call our youngest, George, Kabog.

Well here it goes.

Back then there were two famous entertainment in the country: GMA Film's Jose Rizal and the cartoon version of Snow White in ABS-CBN 2.(hmmmm something fishy here well what do you expect these two tv networks are the only two at par with each other)

The name "Kabog" was actually the name of the bat that the evil queen in Snow White has and it makes this eerie sound. My little brother George would sometimes make that sound and soon enough we started calling him Kabog.

But what really cemented that name was when I, his brother, imitated a scene in Jose Rizal. It was when young Jose Mercado's older brother told him not to use "Mercado" when ask what is his family name but instead say "Rizal".

With my ways around things I told my little brother

"George mula ngaun hindi mo na pwedeng gamitin and pangalang George"

and with that my other siblings told George to respond just like in the movie. And he said

 "Ano ang gagamitin ko?"

And I said

"Kabog!"

:) NOW YOU KNOW!!!!

Peace George :)

My photographer took this photo but the
background(which is the wall in our house in Binmaley, Pangasinan) is kinda not good so we used Lightroom to clean it up a bit.

Lolong: My Brother Is A Cook

Yes that is my brother the cook and he is not the biggest croc caught but we call him Lolong :)

(I didn't get permission to feature him in my blogs lols)

Check him out in his Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/lolz.delosangeles

This is my escape blog :)

Been blogging and battling a lot of writers block moments. It is so frustrating when you have an idea and then you do something and you forget about it.

I decided to start a blog for the other things that come out of my head and unluckily this idea came. Yup this blog is for the small things I remember with my weird family :)

Yes my brother now is a cook. He works at a hotel as cook. The funny thing is he took a management related course in college but ended up as a cook.

(post video here from FB)

My sister took accounting just like me(because according to her my books will go to waste if she did'nt... peace sister :) ) but she has a passion taking pictures and thus after saving a lot she finally got enough to actually pursue her dream.... to fulfill her artistic side through photography.

As for me I am CPA. But as the my days pass I have found blogging and writing a way of my outlet. That is why I am a blogger. But looking at my blogs compared to the great bloggers it seems I am just a ant. But nonetheless I will be a great blogger and a writer too(yup made my first e-book and its in Amazon.com hope you check it out just look for Louis Delos Angeles)

Thats it for now.

Oh by the way I have 9 siblings so little by little I'll share with you my family and the weirdness that we have. :)

Till then....
